Ludivine cardigan is a lightweight mohair cardigan with a soft texture and comfortable warmth. Simple and airy, it’s easy to wear and ideal for layering over shirts, dresses, or knitwear across seasons.

CONSTRUCTION: This piece is worked seamlessly from the top down back and forth in stockinette stitch. You’ll begin with a 1x1 ribbed neckline, then shape the yoke with raglan increases. After completing the yoke, the sleeve stitches are set aside while you knit the body down to the hem ribbing. You’ll return to the sleeve, work them in the round down to the cuff. Finally, you’ll create the buttonbands.

SIZES: XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL

SIZE AND FIT GUIDELINES: This piece is designed with positive ease of approximately 14 cm [5½ inches].

MATERIALS: 200 (225) 225 (250) 250 (275) 300 g of MAJO GARN Pearl Mohair: 25 g e = 210 m (230 yards)

Use 2 strands of Pearl Mohair held together throughout the project.

GAUGE: 21 stitches x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches] in stockinette stitch using 4.0 mm needles [US 6] 

SUGGESTED NEEDLES AND NOTIONS: Circular needles: 4.0 mm [US 6] and 3.0 mm [US 2.5], 40, 80 or 100 cm [16, 32 or 40 inches], 7 buttons with about 10 mm [0.4 inch] diameter, stitch markers and tapestry needle.

TECHNIQUES USED IN THIE PATTERN: Top down knitting, 1x1 ribbing, increases (M1R, M1L), K2tog, yarn over.
